Shaopeng Wang is an associate professor with a joint appointment in the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering and the Biodesign Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors. He has a PhD in physical chemistry. After postdoctoral training and seven years of industry research experience, he joined the center as an associate research professor in 2008 and was promoted to research professor in 2015. His research interest is biosensors and bioinstrumentation.r

Wang holds a BS in biology and an MS in biophysics from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China). He received Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Miami (Florida) and did a two-year post-doctoral study in the Department of Physics at Florida International University. Before joining ASU, Wang was a senior research scientist at ICx Nomadics, Inc (Now FLIR). He joined ASU in 2008 as an associate research professor at Biodesign Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors, and promoted to research professor in 2015. Wang was appointed as an associate professor with School of Biological and Health System Engineering (SBHSE) and Biodesign Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors in July 2021.
