Dr. Sun’s research interests are in the areas of environmental chemistry and water treatment technology. She has more than seventeen years of research experience on emerging contaminants such as endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), pharmaceuticals, heavy metals, and nanomaterials in natural and engineered water systems. Over the years, she has worked on several areas including the fate and transformation of emerging antibiotics and endocrine disruptors in water-sediment systems, removal (adsorption, photocatalysis, biodegradation) of pollutants from drinking water and wastewater, and fate and transport of pollutants and nanomaterials in natural water environments. Many of her studies focus on elucidating the fundamental reaction mechanisms involved in the natural and engineering processes. 相关热点
