教授二级、博士生导师,国土资源部科技领军人才和百名跨世纪人才计划获得者,全国优秀教育工作者,陕西省教学名师,享受国务院特殊津贴的专家。主要研究领域:旱区地下水资源合理开发与生态环境保护。主持和主研国家、省部级项目50余项。获国家科技进步二等奖1项,国家勘察银质奖1项,省部级科技进步一、二、三等奖12项、省级教学成果特等和一等奖各1项,获国家发明和实用专利9项,发表学术论文100余篇。出版著作和教材8部。研究领域
