研究领域


后基因组时代生命科学领域的一个关键问题是多细胞生物如何将同一个基因组展示成众多形态与功能迥异的不同类型细胞的转录组,例如人体中高度分工的数百种细胞。表观遗传学正是为了回答这一关键科学问题而兴起的新兴学科。表观遗传的核心是染色质层面的调控,在生殖发育、细胞编程与重编程、衰老与疾病发生等过程中发挥关键作用。研究表明几乎所有的表观遗传事件都与染色质息息相关,因为染色质是DNA所编码的基因信息的解调器。
