个人简历
Ph.D., University of California, San Francisco, Biochemistry (1992)B.A., Cornell University, Biology (1985)Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, WA (1992-1996)I am fortunate to be able to teach what I am most passionate about: genetics. In the introductory biology course, Molecules, Genes, and Cells (Biology 191) I aim to bring students a solid picture of the fundamental concepts of molecular and classical genetics, equipping them with enough detail to inspire them to question further and push the limits of their own curiosity and understanding. In Genetic Analysis of Biological Processes (Biology 241) I spend the entire semester dragging students down with me into the trenches of genetic research and the process of scientific discovery. In this course my aim is to teach students how genetic analysis is used to tackle fundamental questions in biology, and I do this by guiding them through an intimate semester-long genetic quest to understand the yeast mating process. I have also taught the introductory course Chemical Basis of Biological Processes, Developmental Biology, Seminar in Developmental Genetics, and first-year seminars Gender and Science as well as Genes, Genomes, and Society.近期论文
