研究领域

1）构造地质学，主要为新构造研究（包括活动断层、构造地貌、剥蚀地貌和堆积地貌、地震、地热、火山等）和构造变形分析（包括各类变形现象的连续介质力学分析、区域构造演化的几何学、年代学和运动学分析等）
2）地球信息科学，主要包括无级比例尺数字地质填图，遥感地质学，地学图像学等。率先开展毫米-百米空间分辨率（露头到手标本尺度）无级比例尺真三维数字模型研究，以减轻肉眼观察的劳动强度
