2003-2005年 美国宾州州立大学助研 。完成了蓝细菌Synechococcus PCC 7002的基因组测序、注释以及相关比较基因组学的研究。
2005-2007年 美国宾州州立大学生化与分子生物学系 ;Donald Bryant教授实验室博士后。 完成了6种绿色硫细菌基因组测序、拼接及初步注释工作,以及比较基因组学分析
2007-2008年 美国宾州州立大学植物学系 ;马红教授实验室博士后 。进行减数分裂过程中拟兰芥基因组重组分析研究工作
