现任药学院副院长、中国医科大学-贝尔法斯特女王大学联合学院副院长、药学院神经内分泌药理研究室主任。
湖北中医药大学讲座教授。
1991到2013年,在美国著名的梅奥医学中心(Mayo Clinic)任助理教授,高级研究员,从事胃肠动力学,胰腺分泌的神经调控机制与相关疾病及药物研究。获美国胃肠动力协会(The American Motility Sociaty)2002年卓越青年科学研究奖。主导和参与美国Rhythm药物研发基金,美国NIH基金DK17638,DK17632,DK52766, DK57061的科研工作,合作完成瑞典医学会与瑞典糖尿病协会项目72X-14NNN的科研工作。主持国家自然科学基金一项。
