孟宪红，博士，研究员。主持国家级、省部级等各类课题、子课题23项，包括国家863课题、国家自然科学基金青年基金、面上项目、国家重点研发计划课题、山东省农业良种工程项目等，累计合同经费2400余万元。获省、部级奖励5项，包括部一等奖2项（3，3），二等奖1项（3）、现为3个省、部级创新团队核心成员，第三届山东省水产原良种评审委员会委员，水科院中青年拔尖人才荣誉称号；骨干力量培育中国对虾“黄海2号”、“黄海5号”、大菱鲆“丹法鲆”及凡纳滨对虾“壬海1号”养殖新品种；发表学术论文136篇，其中SCI收录50篇；获10项授权发明专利、7项实用新型专利；获4项软件著作权，发布6项青岛市地方标准。
主要从事海水养殖生物遗传育种和优良性状分子解析工作。开展中国对虾抗病新品种选育，培育出中国对虾新品种“黄海5号”，其抗WSSV存活时间、收获体重和养殖存活率分别提高了30.10%、32.05%和13.51%。对中国对虾核心育种群体WSSV抗性、生长等优良性状的分子基础解析。首次鉴定并获得了中国对虾几丁质结合蛋白基因等12个WSSV侵染下免疫应答基因的序列特征与时空表达规律；筛选到与WSSV抗性相关联的SNP基因型5个；构建了第一个中国对虾高密度遗传连锁图谱，整合SNP标记12884个，平均间隔0.41cM；确认并定位了WSSV抗性、生长等29个性状的QTL位点。
