1996年-1999年在日本神奈川科学院任研究员。留日期间曾获得日本文部省青年特别奖励基金\r

现任中国科学院化学研究所研究员,博士生导师,吉林大学客座教授,2008年至今,兼任北京航空航天大学化学与环境学院院长,2009年当选为中国科学院院士,2012年当选为第三世界科学院院士。江雷研究员曾获得2000年度中国化学会青年化学奖,获2000年度中国科学院十大杰出青年,2001年国家自然科学基金委员会杰出青年基金资助,2003年、2004年、2005年中科院优秀博士生导师奖,2003年中国化学会-巴斯夫\

"""""(1)通过向自然学习,研究多种生物体表面特殊浸润性,揭示了生物体表面超疏水性的形成机理,为相关仿生界面及智能材料的设计制备提供依据\r
