（1）洋陆过渡带与中新生代含油气盆地构造解析：西太平洋洋陆过渡带含油气盆地构造研究（渤海湾盆地、东海陆架盆地和珠江口盆地等新生代盆地）；中国东部中-新生代陆内构造变形与西太平洋板缘作用的联系。
（2）走滑派生构造差异演化机理探究：以数值模拟和砂箱物理模拟为手段，对中国东部中新生代扭性盆地（渤海湾盆地、东海陆架盆地和珠江口盆地等新生代盆地）内发育的各类走滑派生构造的差异演化机理进行探究。"洋底动力学、构造地质学、油气区构造解析"
