1984年毕业于桂林电子工业学院无线电通讯专业，学士学位。1991年毕业于武汉测绘科技大学航测与遥感专业，硕士学位，2005—2006年作为访问学者到美国纽约LOPYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY 从事通信网络研究工作一年。现在中国地质大学（武汉）地理与信息工程学院测绘系工作。 科研项目主持及参与的项目有：国家科技支撑计划项目“城市空间信息共享平台”，国家自然科学基金科学基金项目“多尺度空间场景相似性查询及其松弛化反馈机制研究“、”超高压缩比图像压缩方法研究“”突发事件应急指挥基础地理信息平台移动模块开发“、”机载LiDAR数据实时传输系统关键技术研究“，“采用物联网技术采集和监测地磁数据”等。Presided over and participated in the following projects: National Science and technology support program \
