He obtained his B.S. in Chemistry in 2006 from Xiamen University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2010 from Washington University in St. Louis (USA) with Prof. Kevin D. Moeller. After postdoctoral work with Prof. Jonathan A. Ellman at Yale University (USA) from 2011 to 2013, he moved backed to Xiamen University to start his independent career. His research focuses on synthetic electrochemistry.
