LaurentKneip，信息学院助理教授，目前在学院担任自动化与机器人中心主任、公共关系委员会副主任。
Dr.Kneip曾就读于在埃尔兰根/纽伦堡，弗里德里希-亚历山大大学并获得硕士学位，于苏黎世联邦理工学院自动化系统实验室获得博士学位。他也是由澳大利亚国立大学承办的AustralianResearchCouncil的DiscoveryEarlyCareerResearcherAward(DECRA)的获得者，曾是澳大利亚国立大学的荣誉高级讲师。Dr.Kneip现作为助理教授就职于上海科技大学信息科学与技术学院。他专攻于计算机视觉方向，研究自动化系统和移动应用利用相机进行实时感知环境。他主要感兴趣的研究领域包括可视化测程/即时定位与地图构建，用单或多相机系统进行运动和结构重建，以及相关的更基础和潜在的一些代数几何问题的有效解法。Dr.Kneip也是开源项目OpenGV的主要作者
