博士，教授、博导，国家防伪工程技术研究中心副主任。已在国内外刊物和学术会议上发表论文200余篇，其中CCF A类论文50余篇，论文被谷歌学术引用13000余次。他带领团队研发的场景文字检测与识别技术已广泛应用于华为、阿里巴巴、美团等众多产品或系统中，取得了良好的经济和社会效益。曾应邀担任CVPR19/20/21, ICPR18/20, ICDAR19/21, ACCV18/20, ACM MM20/21, AAAI19/20/21等十余次领域主流国际会议的领域主席或资深程序委员。现/曾任IEEE TPAMI, PR, PRL, FCS等国际学术期刊的编委(AE)。曾获优秀青年基金 (2012)，\
