长期从事材料制备、材料组织细化、微观组织与性能关系等方面的研究。科研方向主要是结合材料成分和微观组织设计、通过超细晶强化的手段提高金属的强度和塑性,同时研究大塑性变形金属的塑性变形机制;对超细晶粒金属在各种环境下的腐蚀行为进行评价,研发其表面防腐处理技术。实验研究的材料包括铝合金、镁合金、铜合金、钛合金和钢铁材料等。超细化的加工手段包括热挤压、热轧、等通道转角挤压(ECAP)和高压扭转(HPT)加工等。近年来,通过产学研合作进行了光伏新材料的研发,并涉足神经科学与人类精神健康探究。近期论文
